Sanity, the social norm of the world.
The social norm, being average.
Insanity, socially irregular.
Minor insanity, the mark of a person with a potential to be great.
This is my belief, based on the actions of great thinkers, leaders, and activists throughout history.
Without a minor sense of insanity, you are incapable of thinking 'outside the box', because sanity means uniformity between the average thinkers of the world. Disunity means to break free from the world, beak free from what other people would think, and become truly great.
Sanity leads to uniformity, uniformity leads to the loss of the self. That, my friends, marks the end of the Human spirit.

ReplyDeleteThinking outside the box is what college was all about for me...thats why I loved it so much. I also think if you never think outside the box you become a "doo-er". Not like the urban dictionary definition, but my definition which is someone who does what they are told and never thinks of any other way to do it. Thus, they never think of easier or more seamless ways to accomplish anything. Its found a lot in the corporate world...trust me. It's been a blog I've been conjuring up too. Nice work.
